EXHIBITION THE CHATEAU GALLERY (TCG)

Cloudy Tales series

Dreams offer us a glimpse into the realm of the unconscious. Although the images flickering and manifesting behind our eyes may seem bizarre and nonsensical, analysis of one’s dreams can reveal their essence. Beneath the surface of our consciousness, the latent content of dreams illustrates the hidden meaning of our thoughts, drives, and desires. We suppress the manifestation of our unconscious to defend ourselves from primitive emotions that are especially difficult to contend with. What is revealed to you as you sleep and perchance to dream? What images make you stop and ask—am I dreaming?

EXHIBITION VIF FESTIVAL VINCENNES

As part of the VIF Festival, photographer and artist Cyrille Parry presents Olympic Values, a playful and poetic series inspired by the Olympic spirit.

Through humorous, staged scenes, the series reimagines the mottos Faster (Citius), Higher (Altius), Stronger (Fortius), Together (Communiter) with creativity and tenderness.

Created as a family project — with costumes by his wife and performances by their daughter — the images celebrate imagination, effort, and joy.

A lighthearted tribute to the values of Paris 2024: creativity, commitment, and sharing.

Siena Awards

SIENA AWARDS – Solo Exhibition at Siena – Italy

Re-enchant the World” series solo exhibition at Siena for the Siena Awards from September 28 to November 24.

Links related to my solo exhibition:

Description: This project invites you to rediscover the enchantment of the world! Initially, the goal was to reintroduce poetry, dreams and imagination through photography after the COVID-19 period. Inspired by the works of René Magritte, who once said, “Everything in my work comes from the feeling of certainty that, in fact, we belong to an enigmatic universe,” each photograph in this series was carefully crafted using unique accessories and clothing. The cotton candy was handcrafted by the photographer’s art director using wool, while the large foam burdock and red balloon were suspended with nylon threads.

From traditional approaches to the use of artificial intelligence, all facets of photographic technology are represented in this exhibition that celebrates innovation and creativity.

The itinerary reflects the richness of the club and highlights the different sensibilities of its members. It offers an immersive and captivating experience, inviting visitors of all generations to discover the world of the Olympic Games through the lens of contemporary photography.

Disco Chic

EXHIBITION PH21 GALLERY – Budapest – Hungary

Exhibition of 3 portraits from my series  “Disco Chic” at PH21 Gallery Budapest – Selected following a competition for the “Significant Colour”

 Fine Art Print 30x40cm –

There are two kinds of photographs with respect to the significance of their use of colours. On the one hand, ever since colour film technology became widely available, colour has become the default in most photographic practices.

That is, some photographs are in colour not because their colours bear some special significance (compared, for instance, to their possible black and white counterparts) but simply because the available film or digital technology has long turned colour to be the common method of capturing photographic images. We may think of these photographs as colour by default.

On the other hand, colours are often central to the meaning of photographs for their emphatic, symbolic, psychological, social, compositional, etc. significance. These photographs would not work in black and white the same way or they would not work at all; that they are in colour is not merely a technological given, rather, it is an integral, formative and significant aspect of their photographic meaning. We may think of these photographs as colour by significance.

POETIC STORYTELLING

Exhibition Dates: May 20TH – June 3RD, 2023

The power of photography as a tool for storytelling lies in its ability to convey the impression that the image captured within the frame is an accurate representation of a specific moment in time. However, every narrative is inherently limited by the selective inclusion and exclusion of certain elements. This is a crucial aspect of photographic storytelling; it is not only about what is presented within the frame but also what is left out of the frame – and left to the viewer’s imagination – granting interpretive liberty (or poetic license) to both the creator and the viewer.

Praxis Gallery presents of photographic art that explore the development of visual narratives through a poetic lens. The stories may take any form ranging from literal depictions to fantasy or fiction, they may be complex or minimalist in approach.

EXHIBITION LOCATION: MFA’s Online Curve Gallery

Work selected for MFA’s Reflections 2023 by juror Denise Carson. Out of  610 total entries by 198 artists, I’m the one of the 50 artists selected for the online exhibitions.

Introducing Reflections

Reflections can appear in many different forms – they can be both literal or metaphorical. Reflections found in shop windows, still ponds, or on faces in mirrors can surprise and delight. The physical nature of light reflecting changes appearances and reveals unexpected sensations. Reflections can also be internal; emotional, cerebral, or spiritual, bringing back memories or causing new ways of thinking that could change the world or just stay personal. Maryland Federation of Art (MFA) asked artists to show us what reflection means to them. Entry was open to all artists residinginternationally. All original 2D or 3D artwork in any media was eligible for this online show. Works selected by the juror will be on display in MFA’s online gallery, Curve Gallery, from April 15 – May 31, 2023. Exhibition Chairs: Richard Niewerth and Wil Scott.

EXHIBITION PH21 GALLERY – Budapest – Hungary

Exhibition of 2 portraits from my series  “A Doll Essence” at PH21 Gallery Budapest – Selected following a competition for the “Personality : Contemporary Portraiture”

 Fine Art Print 40x60cm –

To highlight the least represented aspect of a woman: adolescence
The starting point: a doll is either a baby or a woman and there is an in-between time, a very particular moment in a woman’s life when she is not quite a child nor quite a woman.
A moment when a war rages between the past and the future. A moment when she is both in construction today of what she will be tomorrow.
The play on words is thus put forward: a teenage doll, « a doll essence ».

Re-enchanter le Monde

Exposition
