A Doll Essence
To highlight the least represented aspect of a woman: adolescence.
The starting point: a doll is either a baby or a woman and there is an in-between time, a very particular moment in a woman’s life when she is not quite a child nor quite a woman. A moment when a war rages between the past and the future. A moment when she is both in construction today of what she will be tomorrow.
The play on words is thus put forward: A teenage doll, « a doll essence ».
